66-Fatty, fat, fat, fat

Cold Stone Creamery came to town. Although I am not in love with ice cream like I am with cupcakes. I have made 2 visits. One time, I had cake batter ice cream with Butterfinger pieces mixed in. Tonight I went with the Berry, Berry, Berry Good flavor which is sweet cream ice cream with blueberries, raspberries and strawberries mixed in. It was delicious. I gained 5 pounds, but it was delicious.

64- Run, Run, Run, Otis Lee, 65- Drillbit Taylor

When I run on the treadmill the belt gets warm. My cat enjoys the heat and therefore cannot control herself when I step off. She will sit and watch and wait patiently. I press stop, hop off, and she watches until it stops. On she jumps where she rolls and purrs and cuddles with the hot rubber treadmill belt. Pretty girl.

Today I drilled 4 boards of various materials to the wall in my classroom. It was great fun. I am available for hire- will screw for money. JUST KIDDING. Now watch my blog followers increase by a zillion perverts.

63- Photographer Extraordinaire

I know, everyone with a camera think they are a photographer. Or artist. Or just supercool. I fall in that category, and I'm not ashamed. I know I'm not doing the hard work, I know my pretty little camera is. Lately I have spent many minutes taking photos of random things, my cat, and Tom Selleck who hides and will not participate willingly to help out my creative abilities. This is what children would be good for.

62- Hurricane

It's windy. A lot of rain. But this is nothing compared to Hurricane Juan from 6 years ago. During Hurricane Juan, we lived beside the Bedford Basin. Firefighters told us to evacuate our apartment (we didn't). We were without power for 4 days. I missed a week of university. Today, Hurricane Bill is really just getting the grass wet. Blowing my sunflowers over and giving me an excuse to stay on the couch.

Earlier (before the high tide and worst of the wind) Mr. Baseball and I went for a cruise out to Lawrencetown beach to check out the waves. We were not expecting the traffic jam along the coast, but we braved the rain and got out for a closer look. It was beyond words. I cannot describe how amazing the waves were. I would have stood there for hours just staring. However after a maximum of 2 minutes, I was soaked to my underwear and decided to call it a day since it was only going to get worst.
Add ImageAgain the photos do not do it justice, but this was a gorgeous sight to see. I think Bill is on the way out and we managed to get through without too much damage. I still have power- so that is a perk.

59- New toy for him, 60- New toy for me, 61-ME-OW

Preparing for Hurricane Bill, we replaced our BBQ that had previously went ass over tea kettle off our steps and smashed to bits. Cute little Barbecuer for $99 at Home Depot, and if we lose power for 4 days like the last hurricane, we won't have to throw out hundreds of dollars of food.

My back to work treat came in the mail yesterday and I am in love. Isn't she beautiful??

Speaking of beautiful. Look at this gorgeous girl, but be careful, she is ferocious.

55-Back to work, back to reality, 56- Heat wave, 57- Routine, 58- Heart of a home

I went back to work after 7 weeks off on Monday. It was rough. 7 weeks gets me into a routine of sleeping in (anything after 7:30 is fantastic), relaxing, watching the Wonder Years, doing Jillian Michaels/running/etc. when not already exhausted from various physical activities I did at work, cleaning the house consistently rather than sporadically, baking when I wanted, cooking suppers (not bread with hummus, or a bowl of cereal). Now I have to make myself be in the habit of getting up super early, going nonstop, forgetting to watch the later night edition of the Wonder Years, dreading getting off my ass to do anything physical after working all day, letting the sink fill with dishes and the cat hair fly across the floor, no baked treats for anyone, and eating cereal for supper. It was a pot luck brunch, I made a peach french toast bake. No one ate it.

The weekend before I went back to work summer decided to make an appearance. She blessed my non air conditioned workplace with 40 degree weather and no breeze. Nighttime cooled down to a whopping 26.2 degrees inside (on the main level- 29.5 upstairs). While painting, moving furniture and meeting inside what a welcome this heat is.

I want to tell you how much I love routine. I like to have a schedule, structure. I like to know what to expect and when to expect it. I LOVE surprises, only if they are fun like presents. I don't love being told two minutes before that I will be doing a 20 minute presentation on roast beef to a group of cattle farmers. My mornings (summer and weekends) are amazing and there is no need to change (why do I have to work?). Coffee, newspaper, bagel, blogging, some morning show(s), reading about Big Brother, cleaning up after myself and starting the day. Mornings will now consist of me complaining about getting up, paying for coffee, rushing out the door, rushing through a shower, ignoring the newspaper, neglecting blog, and thinking constantly about the day ahead.

If the heart of a home is the kitchen, the heart of the kitchen would be the refrigerator. I love to junk mine up. It works as a conversation piece. People who may be awkward at a gathering has something to point to and talk about. I like to display photos of family and vacations, calendars, invites, ads or comics that stand out, drawings from children at work, to do lists, and anything else I choose to look at, at least for a little while. What's your preference? Cluttered mess like mine? Or a cold box for food, no decorations?

New camera has been ordered. I hope to stun you all with amazing photos taken with my new Canon EOS Rebel XS digital SLR. I am super pumped. I am so spoiled it is unbelievable.

49-Please, 50-Forgive me, 51-I, 52-Have, 53-Slacked, 54-Hardcore.

This last week (my last week of vacation) has been a busy one. I have done a lot and nothing all week. Household chores, baking, making, and finishing. I still keep going with the camera that just won't die (thankfully), while shopping for a new one.

Monday I baked an Almond Cherry Pound Cake... it takes 4 eggs. Whoa. Tuesday I took a picture of what it looks like inside. (You will notice the horrid quality of photos... I know, I want a new camera just as badly as you do!)

Wednesday I made Roasted Curry Chick Peas. Mmm, and apparently Weight Watchers approved. Thursday I was rocking the art and took a photo of my display case/art gallery.

Friday was boating, BBQing and wet butt from tubing.

Saturday was a busy, hot day of driving, bridal shower and dinner with my family. This sunset was captured in New Brunswick through the mirror. Not a perfect picture since my camera has decided to turn to complete crap... but it was nice.
