90- Wedding Season has Begun, 91- This is why I'm broke, 92- Mmm Apple, 93- Officially Fall

The beautiful cake from a beautiful wedding I went to last week.
In all honesty this magazine was half free because I had some money left on a gift card. It was $15 however. Since it is officially wedding season (for me anyway) and everything has my mind on weddings (2 invites, standing in my cousins, wishing I were at least engaged so I could plan my own, etc., etc.). I have always bought baby name books and wedding magazines. Something most people wait until they are pregnant or engaged to do, not me however. I have been doing it since I was too young to do either. This magazine is amazing. Why? 1. It is an idea I had for a magazine and thought "If I ever...." I would produce a magazine like this. Apparently Australia already did. 2. It had pages and pages of red wedding ideas. I am quite certain red will be my alternate color to cream and black for my wedding, since other colors are on the no list, red seems to be one that is a yes. 3. It has pretty pictures and great write-ups on things that matter. I like things that are real.

A wonderful gift from a student. I have to be honest, I have never had apple jelly before in my life. I now know it is amazing and after I apple pick this season- I will be attempting to make my own. It is so yummy!

Autumn began on Tuesday. The leaves are changing and falling. Summer left a lot to be desired however, this Fall has not disappointed. Fall is my favorite season and this one has been a beauty so far.

I'm taking a blogging break to do some laundry and take a shower. I will return with Wednesday-Today. I need to not be so slack so it doesn't take me 2 hours to do it when I get around to it!

84- Gifts for a Bride, 85- More Magazines, 86- A Little bit of Spring, 87-Scents of Autumn, 88-Motorcycle Man, 89-Quick Visit with a Favorite Friend

Although it has been 2 weeks since I last blogged, I have kept up with my end of the bargain and have photographed random unsuspecting objects left, right and center. My life has not been so exciting that I cannot find time to blog, it has been the fact that work has made me incredibly crazy and I cannot wrap my mind around anything other than work.
A fellow teacher got married and as a staff we compiled a recipe book with gifts for the kitchen. I will have to admit I didn't actually take this photo, however I took other photos similar, this one just turned out the best! I gave a delicious sugar cookie recipe that I normally make at Christmas, and a cake ball recipe that I will make wherever and whenever.

I still buy too many magazines, including ones that normally grandmas buy. Saltscapes is a magazine showcasing Eastern Canada. It has recipes and photography, stories about cities near me, and lists of things 'happening' in my area.

Daisies have been appearing on my lawn again. So have dandelions. It's like it's Spring not Fall. However the freezing early morning temperatures and the crisp, cool evenings have been telling me otherwise.

Cinnamon and apple, the most amazing smell for Fall. I've brought out the apple and spice candles- it's time to let go of summer.

I work with 3 year old children. This is a 'Motorcycle Man' drawn by one of them!

One thing I dislike about adult life is how far away all my friends are. The friends who really matter, the ones I put first, the ones who no matter how far away or how long since we have talked, sound the same when we speak again. I got to see one of those friends for a few brief minutes a week ago and it was worth every second. I got to meet and hold her amazing baby girl. If I could change anything about how my life is right now, it would be to put all of my favorite people in the same place, so the time between meetings wasn't so long.

79- Prep for a Party, 80-Treats bought by a Creeper, 81-Cake Balls for a Fling, 82-Last Chance, 83- I need a Wish Book Break

Saturday, after a long Friday and a full, busy Saturday at work. I napped (which I hate doing) and then lounged with this treasure. It was a Wish Book sort of day.

I had hoped to do a picture a day to look closer at life and the world around me. See the beauty nearby. Especially this time of year where the weather is changing and nature has a different hue to it, I take time to enjoy it. I look at things differently, I appreciate what I may not have otherwise. Yes, I do realize these blog entries that have multiple pictures are titled in chronological order, yet blogged backwards. I told you, I'm taking time to see the beauty around me, I don't have time to do things properly.

This is what a bride should look like. Wearing a $20 Dollarama outfit, weighed down with leis and boas. Drawing attention to the fact that she soon will be a wifey which essentially (in 2009) means nothing other than she wears an extra ring and will be asked "When you squeezing out an infant?"

As well as a bachelorette, I had a school fundraiser on Saturday that I was scheduled to work at from 9-3. I offered to make the deliciously addictive cake balls people have come to know and love. Not a difficult delicacy, but one that takes time (bake a cake, cool a cake, mix the cake and icing, roll into 70 tiny balls, freeze overnight, dip balls in chocolate). I bulk barned for some chocolate- it takes a lot. I barely slept Thursday night trying to get everything done.

Having a bachelorette to attend on Friday, I made a stop at Night Magic Fashions for some treats for the bride. Going into a store that specializes in what Night Magic does. I have to admit I felt like a slight pervert. Other than feeling like a creeper. I also realized that no matter how old I get. I will always be too immature to step foot into a sex shop. I giggled, I roared, I pointed and laughed. I am surprised I didn't get kicked out.

I love crafts. I love to do them, teach them, look at them, buy them. It can be very time consuming, but in a very fun way. We are entering the craft season, so I am very excited.

74-Friday, 75-Saturday, 76-Sunday, 77-Labour Day, 78-Tuesday

One last look at summer. Labour Day weekend is the kiss goodbye. I am saddened by the fact that I swam in the ocean once. I barely got a flip flop tan, and when I did, it was in May. I didn't get as much done outside as I wanted. Summer slipped by too quickly leaving me wanting more. I have a feeling it's going to be a long, long winter.

Here comes Fall. Can't you just feel the crispness in the air in this photo? The breezy tree, the blue sky with a chilly shadow from the sun? I do love Autumn, I just don't feel ready quite yet.

This photo reminds me simple times. It's the tone of the photo, sepia makes anything seem older. (It may also have to do with the 'rustic' shed with the bowling ball hole and falling off doors). It makes me feel old and young at the same time. I was reminded of simpler times when I visited Avery's Farmer's Market. The smell that hits you when you walk through the doors reminded me of when I was a child and we used to visit the 'fruit stand' and get apples and pears, potatoes and cucumbers in the beginning of Fall. For under $7 I got potatoes, spinach, yellow beans, green beans, and corn on the cob. It's amazing, it's true homey feel and the smell. It's not your Halifax Farmer's Market on Saturday morning where people haven't showered and the stale smell of beer lingers in the air. It's earth and vegetables, clean air and freshness. It's great. Officially added to the list of favorite smells with almond extract, apple pie, the beach, and vanilla.

Artsy shot of Ryan's 12-string. I spent much of my Labour Day watching a Time Life 5 disc documentary about the history of rock 'n roll. Pretty interesting stuff. I realized I like songs by certain bands, not bands in general. Being asked what is your favorite band(s)? Is difficult for me to answer. I like Hanson. I like Better than Ezra and Ben Harper. I like Bob Marley, Buckcherry and Kings of Leon. Other than that... I just like songs.

This pretty kitty came to visit today. It wouldn't leave. It's eyes were the color of warm tropical waters. Not quite green, not quite blue. Hours later it disappeared. I hope it has a home, Molly didn't like it, she hissed.

67- Beautiful shoes, 68- Girl's Night Out, 69- An Obsession of Mine, 70- MMM Cookies, 71- Score!, 72- Moon, 73- Just the right light

Holy crap it's been awhile. I doubt anyone has noticed... but it has only been because of my extreme schedule at work that I have neglected blogging. I have kept up my end of the bargain. Minimum of one photo a day. Random, important, artistic and ugly. Photos have been taken. It's been over a week, but here is my last week in pictures.

Shoes like this is what shadow boxes are for. They should be seen and not worn. However, I do wear them, partially because they were expensive. Partially because I love them and partially because they are somewhat comfortable for being as high as they are.

Two gals from work and I went out Saturday night to kick off the school year/say good bye to summer. We had a great time, and at 11:57 I remembered I had not taken a photo yet. Here you have it, a good time documented for the world to see. If you were wondering what you missed that night. A whole lot of creepy, but also a whole lot of fun!

I buy too many magazines. Especially crafty ones with holiday ideas. 2 months before the holiday even happens. I may have a problem. Can anyone help?

Although it has been crazy at work, I managed to spend an evening or two baking treats for the wonderful people who help me out along the way. Chocolate chip cookies with toffee bits.
Fantastic.

On top of the cookies, I also made squares. Shortbread crust, chocolate chips melted on top, with toffee bits on top of that. People seemed to like them.

Nights and days have been so unbelievable. Warm days, cool (perfect) nights with a moon full and bright. If I didn't live in the city, there may be stars to go along with this moon.

I love this photo. The color turned out great. If I knew what I did and how I did it, it would be that much better.
